St Albans Choral Society, one of the leading amateur choirs in Hertfordshire, is looking to appoint a new Music Director in September 2025 to replace George Vass, who is stepping down after 30 years in the role.
The choir has built a reputation for performances of a high standard in concert venues in St Albans and the surrounding area. The choir presents varied programmes of music, ranging from classic choral repertoire to contemporary compositions, including new commissions. Cecilia McDowall is currently our Composer in Association.
This is an opportunity to lead a well-run, friendly choir to the next stages of its development. Remuneration will be competitive and reflect the experience of the selected candidate.
